Driver issues

Postby Cujo » Sun Feb 07, 2010 8:44 pm

So yeah, I play on a Dell XPS M1730 gaming portable desktop (a.k.a. huge laptop) Which was discontinued about a month later. For school I had to update windows and all of a sudden, it killed my fps and my wireless is having bad hicups. I looked up some support for it and all people are mentioning is that they also stopped bothering with updating the dell drivers also, making all newer forms of the windows updates murderous trolls.

I tried a rollback, and it worked for about 15 minutes, then it went back to the same issues, and I really really really don't want the Alienware 17x that they don't even know how to fix the starting BIOS on. Any tips to fix this short of a wipe? (I'm in the middle of a quarter of school and all I need to constantly be on this thing til the end working on that shit.)

I would re-format and reinstall your OS.

There is a number of things you could do to fix this, but I would say your best bet is get Game Booster and run that when you play. There are plenty of steps I could type out to make it better but that will help until you are able to reformat.

Down with FX and all the shit they cause.
